To become a volunteer with HandsForChrist.com you must:

  • Be in a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, pursuing intimacy with God.
  • Read the qualifications for the Servant position you are interested in.
  • Fill out and submit the application below.

For the safety and integrity of the HandsForChrist.com ministry all potential Servants must undergo a criminal background check that will be performed by ChoicePoint Corporation, unless the potential Servant is referred to HandsForChrist.com by a known and trusted source to our ministry.

Before the background check is administered, we must first receive your completed online Servant application. Once received, we will email or fax you a ChoicePoint criminal background check authorization form for your signature. HandsForChrist.com strongly encourages anyone needing or requesting professional counseling to contact their pastor or the American Association of Christian Counselors at www.AACC.net to find a professional in their area.

Submission Agreement & Servant Confidentiality Agreement

By submitting this application to HandsForChrist.com I agree to release and hold harmless HandsForChrist.com from any acts performed by the person I am assisting within my role as a HandsForChrist.com Servant.

By submitting this application I agree to fully comply with the Policies and Procedures of the following HandsForChrist.com Servant Confidentiality Agreement: Any information that I may obtain on a Recipient while performing the ministerial duties of a HandsForChrist.com Volunteer Servant is considered to be strictly confidential, any retention, dissemination to any person or parties, or copying of any information received is strictly prohibited. I do understand that I am to discuss any Recipient confidentiality questions or concerns of what should be held in confidence with the HandsForChrist.com Administrative Staff.

Once you've submitted your application:
  1. We will send you an email confirming we received it.
  2. We will review your application and notify you of the results.
  3. Upon acceptance, Outreach Servants will be asked to confirm that they have read Growing as a Christian 101, by Bruce Bickel and Stan Jantz; Prayer Servants will be asked to confirm that they have read Bruce & Stan's Pocket Guide to Prayer, by Bruce Bickel and Stan Jantz; and iCare Servants will be asked to read and submit their answers to the questions found in the study guide section of Grace Walk, by Steve McVey.
  4. After receiving confirmation that you have read your required book or, if you are applying to be an iCare Servant, we have received your answers to the study guide section of Grace Walk, we will email your password to you and connect you with a person who is seeking to know more about Jesus Christ, requesting prayer or needing spiritual encouragement.
